SWSC Proud to Announce Goalkeeper Training Program
SWSC will be offering specialized goalkeeper training for its goalkeepers for the 2012 Fall season. I have just finalized details of this exciting program which will be free for all SWSC keepers. We will have a Goalkeeping Trainer working with our keepers on a weekly basis to teach the uniquely specialized technical skills of this position and enlighten keepers on the decision making process of the position. Keepers will be grouped by age and skill level to maximize the efficiency of each training session. Groups will consist of U7 - U9 keepers, and then U10 - U16 keepers. This program will greatly benefit both the individual keeper and their teams! -- Allen Whaley

SWSC Pleased to Announce the Hosting of Coaching Courses
April 28, 20012 - On August 11, SWSC will be hosting two coaching courses administered by the NCYSA Coaching School. Our club will be offering the Youth I and Youth II coaching courses for coaches to add to their coaching resumes and expand or sharpen their coaching skills. These two courses will cover topics that benefit coaches working with players between the ages of 4 - 8 years old. These ages are where all player development starts and if we can give them even better coaching at this age, our kids will be that much better for it. These courses are yet another component of our expanding coaching program and a key building block for the improvement of our coaching staff. In one day, interested coaches can earn both certificates and really expand their coaching prowess. You can Click Here to view the courses, then choose the August 11th course(s) you want and register online.

Please join me in welcoming our new commissioner, Chad Teffeau, our new vice-president, Dennis Person, and our returning treasurer, Mike Lazzara. All of these men have already been doing stellar work at being ambassadors representing SWSC, demonstrating leadership, and, most importantly, being dedicated to our kids. Congratulations! ......posted May 1, 2012
