 August 6, 2010 - Late Registration for the Fall 2010 season for youth Recreational leagues will be held on Monday, Aug 9th AND Wednesday, Aug 11th from 4:30pm to 6:00pm both days at SWSC Soccer Complex (Blue Creek School Road). All players must bring a copy of their birth certificate/proof of birth in order to register. Also, we are asking that you bring a 12 pack of name brand can drink for the concession stand. SWSC Select Black U10B are MHMS Champs
August 2, 2010 - Congratulations to the U10 Select Black team for their triumph in the Matt Helms Memorial Shootout! The boys played great soccer over the weekend and amassed a perfect 4-0 record with victories over the JASA Lancers, SSL Stingrays, Piney Green Wrath, and the RSC Tigers. What an awesome job by these young men! The team is coached by Allen Whaley.

 Congratulations to the Southwest High School girls on winning the 1A State Championship vs. Avery County with a score of 2-0. We're proud of the players and school. This is the school's first NCHSAA 1-A girl's soccer championship. [jdnews article HERE]

Congratulations to our U9/10 Boys Rec team, the SWSC Rockets. They won the ECSA Spring Tournament on April 25 and were also Champs at the Coast Spring Classic in Myrtle Beach on May 2 as U9's.

April 22, 2009 - Congratulations SW Select for winning the U10 Girls Challenge division this spring season. The girls compiled a record of 9-2. Coached by Tucker Hunt and Scott Thompson, team members include Laney G., Brittany S., Ty'resa B., Lilly L., Madison T., Marissa S., Mari S., Hannah B., Emily S., and Paige M. Great Job girls!
