SWSC ELECTIONS
April 17, 2008 - SWSC will be holding elections for the following positions: President, Vice President, Commisioner, Secretary, Treasurer. All nominations need to be submitted by April 25th to Kristen Smith at jks_74@yahoo.com. Voting will be on Tuesday, April 29th from 5:00pm-6:30pm at the snack bar.

April 17, 2008 - Onslow Classic Soccer Association (OCSA) is pleased to present the Summer Academy II on June 16-19 at the Southwest Soccer fields. The sessions are half days from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and the cost is $75. The summer program will allow players to experience a higher level of training and player development under the guidance of OCSA’s professional staff coaches assisted by current OCSA players. This academy is for those players who want extra training and practice over summer break. Players will become a more confident player on the ball. Players do NOT need to be OCSA players to participate in the Academy. More information coming soon.

U11 GIRLS SWSC SELECT TAKE GOLD
November 19, 2007 - The U11 Girls Southwest Select just returned home from the Greensboro Challenge Clash this weekend (Nov. 17-18). The girls had an awesome weekend that was filled with alot of action packed soccer. They started the tournament against the Wake Forest United with a score of 2-2, followed by a 1-0 win over the GSO Twisters Silver, and a 3-0 win over the CASL Raleigh Rockets. They concluded their weekend with a 2-0 win for the Gold medal against the PGSC Cyclones. Congrats to a job well done this weekend.
The girls were an outstanding representation for the club as well as the ECSA was well represented with seven teams in the U-11 bracket. The girls were split up into two divisions with ECSA teams getting the gold and silver in both divisions.

Girls SWSC Lady Dynamite Tournament
Finalists
June
3, 2007 - The Southwest Lady
Dynamite were Finalists this past weekend
(May 26-27) at the McDonald Wrangler /
McDonald Youth Soccer Tournament in the
U10 Girls Division in Greensboro. They won
their first three games beating Greensboro
Pink Panthers 10-4, Southeastern Stokes
YSA 6-0, Greensboro Jaguars 9-1, and
then lost to the Wilson Strikers 5-0 in
the championship match. The girls played
hard this weekend and looked real good
moving the ball around. The
girls represented the club well!
